Company: Banque Pâris Bertrand Sturdza SA (PBS)
Emmanuel Ferry is the Chief Investment Officer at Banque Pâris Bertrand Sturdza SA (PBS), where he joined in 2009. PBS is based in Geneva, Switzerland. He oversees Research and Portfolio Management for both private and institutional investors. He is leading a team of 10 investment specialists, covering global macro and cross-asset research, quantitative strategies, portfolio management and multi-management. He is also CIO and director of PBS Investments Plc, the asset management arm of PBS, including the multi-asset flagship fund “PBS SMART Portfolio”.
He previously worked for a global macro hedge fund (Cedar Partners) and in several financial institutions (Exane BNPP, BNP Paribas, HSBC) as economist and strategist. He started his career at the French Treasury (Ministry of Finance).
Emmanuel is also an associated professor at the Toulouse Business School. He is Chairman of the Investment Strategists Association of Geneva (ISAG), and a regular contributor to various financial newspapers. He is a graduate of Paris Dauphine University (M.Phil in Finance and International Economics).
Title: Managing Director, Head of Multi Asset Portfolio Management
Bio: Thomas Romig has 18 years of experience in asset management. At his previous employer, Union Investment, he was Head of Multi Asset Management, with responsibility for €12 billion in assets under management, allocated between four major investment strategies. Key rating agencies such as Morningstar, Feri EuroRating, Lipper, Citywire and FondsConsult repeatedly recognised his achievements. Thomas spent 2000 to 2009 as Head of Multi Management at cominvest Asset Management, which later was merged into Allianz Global Investors. He began his career in fund management in 1997 at ADIG Investment. Romig holds a degree in business administration.

Cristina Brízido is head of Investments at the asset management company of Caixa Geral de Depósitos Bank (CGD). She leads an investment team of portfolio managers and analysts responsible for the design, implementation and management of investment solutions for individual and institutional clients in several asset classes from traditional to alternative investments.
Previously, she was the head of Wealth Management unit and before that was an equity analyst since joining the firm in 2001.
Cristina has been involved in the financial services industry for over 15 years and has leveraged expertise on a variety of investment areas such as: portfolio management, wealth management, manager selection and alternative investments. She has been an investor in alternative investments since 2007, managing three dedicated mutual funds of Private Equity, Infrastructures and Real Estate.
She graduated with an Economics degree from Nova School of Business and Economics (SBE) and is a CFA charter holder.

Company: Eurizon Capital SGR
Filippo Stefanini has been Head of Hedge Fund & Manager Selection at Eurizon Capital SGR since 2012.
Previously, in 2008, he started at Eurizon AI SGR (later Eurizon Capital SGR) as Head of Research. Between 2007 to 2011, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Bergamo, where he taught Risk Management. He started his asset management work in 2001, when he joined Aletti Gestielle Alternative SGR where he helped set up the company, holding various positions until he became responsible for asset allocation. Previously, in 1999-2001 he was with Accenture working in the areas of asset management and investment banking.
An author of several books on hedge funds, Filippo graduated in Management Engineering (1998) at the University of Bergamo.
Mussie Kidane (pictured) is head of Fund Selection at Geneva-headquartered Pictet Wealth Management since October 2007. The InvestmentEurope Industry Personality of the Year Awards 2016/17 were announced during a ceremony that took place at the May Fair Hotel in London on 29 November..
The Awards are intended to celebrate those who are deemed by their peers to have done most to foster the role of the fund selector and the industry.
Personality Awards were this year handed out to fund selectors in Benelux, France, Germany, Iberia Italy, Nordics Switzerland and UK, with an overall Award going to Régis Pinguet (pictured) Head of Fund Selection at CNP Assurances.
