Title: CIO Multi Management
Bio: Bernard Aybran is deputy CEO for Invesco Asset Management SA and CIO for multi-manager portfolios and funds of funds at Invesco. He joined Invesco in July 2008. Bernard previously launched a multi management subsidiary for Edmond de Rothschild in France, both for private wealth management and institutional clients. Up until 1999, he was with SocGen Asset Management, where he helped setting up a multimanager range. He started his career in 1994 with a fund performance measurement company, as head of databases and studies. Bernard holds a post-graduate degree from Dauphine University in Paris, France.

Bio: A fund selector and strategist for over 17 years, a gatekeeper for one of the UK's largest insurance platforms, with a portfolio of senior roles including; Director of the Association of Professional Fund Investors, Ambassador of the Transparency Task Force, consultant, trainer for the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, Advisory Board for SharingAlpha.com (www.sharingalpha.com), columnist, lecturer and global presenter. Jon ‘JB’ Beckett has long been an outsider of the ‘City’, a Scot looking in, challenging the status quo and casting light on the relationship between fund selectors and fund managers.

Company: Banque Pâris Bertrand Sturdza SA (PBS)
Bio: Emmanuel Ferry is the Chief Investment Officer at Banque Pâris Bertrand Sturdza SA (PBS), where he joined in 2009. PBS is based in Geneva, Switzerland. He oversees Research and Portfolio Management for both private and institutional investors. He is leading a team of 10 investment specialists, covering global macro and cross-asset research, quantitative strategies, portfolio management and multi-management. He is also CIO and director of PBS Investments Plc, the asset management arm of PBS, including the multi-asset flagship fund “PBS SMART Portfolio”.
He previously worked for a global macro hedge fund (Cedar Partners) and in several financial institutions (Exane BNPP, BNP Paribas, HSBC) as economist and strategist. He started his career at the French Treasury (Ministry of Finance).
Emmanuel is also an associated professor at the Toulouse Business School. He is Chairman of the Investment Strategists Association of Geneva (ISAG), and a regular contributor to various financial newspapers. He is a graduate of Paris Dauphine University (M.Phil in Finance and International Economics).
Title: Managing Director, Head of Multi Asset Portfolio Management
Bio: Thomas Romig has 18 years of experience in asset management. At his previous employer, Union Investment, he was Head of Multi Asset Management, with responsibility for €12 billion in assets under management, allocated between four major investment strategies. Key rating agencies such as Morningstar, Feri EuroRating, Lipper, Citywire and FondsConsult repeatedly recognised his achievements. Thomas spent 2000 to 2009 as Head of Multi Management at cominvest Asset Management, which later was merged into Allianz Global Investors. He began his career in fund management in 1997 at ADIG Investment. Romig holds a degree in business administration.

The InvestmentEurope Industry Personality of the Year Awards 2016/17 were announced during a ceremony that took place at the May Fair Hotel in London on 29 November..
The Awards are intended to celebrate those who are deemed by their peers to have done most to foster the role of the fund selector and the industry.
Personality Awards were this year handed out to fund selectors in Benelux, France, Germany, Iberia Italy, Nordics Switzerland and UK, with an overall Award going to Régis Pinguet (pictured) Head of Fund Selection at CNP Assurances.
