Edgar Perez is a published author, alternative investments consultant and Council Member at the Gerson Lehrman Group and Guidepoint Global Advisors, with subject matter expertise in cybersecurity, electronic trading and financial regulation (Dodd-Frank Act).
He is author of Knightmare on Wall Street (2013) and The Speed Traders, published in English by McGraw-Hill (2011), Mandarin by China Financial Publishing House (2012), and Bahasa Indonesia by Kompas Gramedia (2012). Perez was a vice president at Citigroup, a senior consultant at IBM, and a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co. Perez has an undergraduate degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Peru, a Master of Administration from Universidad ESAN, Peru, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School. He belongs to the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
