AB to discuss value investing at Pan DACH Summit
Nicholas Davidson (pictured), senior portfolio manager Equities at AB will discuss value investing in Europe at the InvestmentEurope Pan DACH Summit held in Munich from 10-11 of May.
Davidson will argue that the crises and volatility of the last few years have created a rich field for stock-pickers, especially those prepared to take a contrarian value-based approach.
He believes that rather than just picking cheap stocks and waiting for them to recover, value investors should pursue a high conviction approach, combining fundamental research with quantitative tools in order to to find rewarding opportunities.
Davidson joined AllianceBernstein, which is now called AB, in 2005 as a senior portfolio manager. He is a member of the UK and European Value Investment Policy Groups and comanages the Global Equity Income Portfolio.
He was previously a consultant with McKinsey & Company, serving clients in the telecommunications and media industries and in the public sector. Prior to that, he worked as a civil servant on trade and telecommunications policy in the UK’s Department of Trade & Industry and in the British Embassy in Washington, DC.
