Andreas Dankel to attend Hamburg Summit
Andreas Dankel, head of Credits, co-head of European Corporate Sustainable Bonds & Nordic Corporate Bonds, Danske Bank Asset Management is set to discuss how looking beyond ESG scores to generate higher risk-adjusted returns in a European corporate bond portfolio at the upcoming Autumn Pan-European Summit Hamburg 2018, taking place 17-19 October at the Hotel Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall.
Responsible investing (RI) has seen a remarkable growth in recent years and by some measures now applies to more than 25% of professionally managed assets (Acc. to Gl. Sust. Inv. Alliance, 2016 Gl. Sust. Inv. Review, 2017). If the trend continues, it will increasingly be seen as an active choice to disregard RI, which in turn increases the reputational risk for those investors that choose to do so. Danske process goes beyond screens and exclusions by including ESG integration, engagement, and investments in ESG turnaround stories.
Dankel is the co-head of European Corporate Sustainable Bonds and head of the Danske European High Yield Strategy. In addition to this role, he also heads the European Credit and Nordic Corporate Bond teams. Prior to joining Danske in 2008, he was a global credits portfolio manager at BankInvest, and a corporate bond senior analyst focused on financials at both Nordea Markets and Unibank Markets.
