Candriam’s Charudatta Shende brings EM debt HC topic to Frabelux

Charudatta Shende (pictured), senior client portfolio manager at Candriam Investors Group, will be speaking at the Frabelux Forum, taking place 22 March at the Ritz Hotel in Paris.

Candriam sees the emerging market debt asset class benefiting from improving fundamentals and relatively attractive yields while external factors and EM specific risks may present challenges.

Shende will outline the relative value approach of the Candriam Bonds Emerging Market strategy aiming to deliver risk-adjusted returns across the EMD HC universe. The investment process integrates ESG factors, a key determinant of long term credit worthiness of EM countries according to Candriam.

12 years’ experienced Shende joined Candriam as a senior client portfolio manager within the fixed income team in September 2016, having a strong focus on EM debt and credit.

Prior to joining Candriam, he was a product specialist at Carmignac, in France, where he was in charge of communication on the fixed income funds.

He started his career with Pioneer Investments in Dublin, where he was a product research analyst.
