Cho-Yu Kooi to attend DACH Summit Munich

Cho-Yu Kooi, CFA, senior fund manager, J O Hambro Capital Management is all set to talk about opportunities in Asia SMID at the upcoming DACH Summit, taking place 16-17 May at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, Munich.

J O Hambro bottoms-up stock-picking approach focuses on Asian companies with quality, long-term sustainable growth characteristics, or those which exhibit the potential to do so. These are businesses that can grow over economic cycles and tend to be more resilient during economic downturns. The investment process seeks out “fallen angels” – companies which have stumbled or suffered a setback along the way but have restructured their businesses to get back on track for steady growth.

Cho-Yu is senior fund manager of the JOHCM Asia ex Japan Small and mid-cap strategy. Prior to joining JOHCM, Cho-Yu was a portfolio manager at Silver Metis Capital Management Pte Ltd. She previously worked at Lloyd George Management from 2001 to 2008 as a Portfolio Manager, where she managed the Lloyd George Asian smaller companies fund, the Siam recovery fund and several institutional accounts valued at over USD 1bn at the peak. She had also worked at UBS and DBS Asset Management for close to eight years. Cho-Yu is a CFA charterholder and graduated from the London School of Economics with first class BSc (Hons) in Economics.
