EFGAM’s Beck to discuss Swiss equities at Zurich PFF

Urs Beck, Swiss equity manager at New Capital-EFG Asset Management (EFGAM) will discuss active selection of Swiss stocks at the InvestmentEurope Pension Fund Forum held in Zurich on 24 November.

Beck will argue that dominant Swiss stock market indices such as the SMI and SPI have failed to significantly adjust their composition over the past decades, thereby increasing the risk levels associated with investing in these indices.

He will discuss how a benchmark independent approach to stock picking can help investors in Swiss equities to increase returns whilst reducing risks.

Beck joined EFGAM as senior portfolio manager Swiss equities in 2014. Prior to that, he worked among others as head of Swiss Equities at Zürcher Kantonalbank ZKB, where he spent seven years managing institutional funds and mandates.

Prior to that, the worked among others as Swiss Equities and Derivative Sales specialist at Julius Bär, Bank Leu und UBS.
