First State to discuss EMD at Pan DACH Summit
Helene Williamson, head of emerging market debt at First State Investments will discuss risks and opportunities in emerging market debt at the InvestmentEurope Pan DACH Summit held on 10-11 May in Munich.
Williamson will address the current risks and opportunities for emerging market bonds and the role the central banks, the slowing of China’s growth as well as changing growth models have in this regard.
She will also highlight that a clear distinction between different emerging market countries has become more important than ever, with the level of development varying greatly from one market to another.
Williamson joined First State in 2011, as head of Global Emerging Markets Debt at First State Investments, she has overall responsibility for the management of all Emerging Markets Debt portfolios.
Prior to that, she worked among others at F&C Asset Management where she was head of Emerging Markets Debt for 16 years.
Before that, she worked for Bankers Trust Company in New York as senior trader in emerging market lending, restructuring and portfolio management.
