First State to discuss sustainable investing in Madrid

Nick Edgerton, portfolio manager from First State Investments will join InvestmentEurope‘s Fund Selector Roundtable Spain in Madrid on 16 September to explain how sustainable investment is playing an increasingly important role for long-term positive returns.

Edgerton and his team seek to invest only in quality companies, as defined by the quality of their management, franchise, and financials. They focus on companies well positioned to deliver long-term returns in the face of the huge development challenges facing all countries today.

For First State Stewart, sustainable investment is about allocating capital to well-managed companies that are positioned to benefit from, and contribute to, sustainable development in emerging markets as well as developed markets.

Nick Edgerton is an Investment Analyst at First State Stewart (FSS). FSS is part of First State Investments and the team manages equities in Asia Pacific, Global Emerging and other international markets. He joined the team in April 2012.

He is responsible for generating investment ideas for the First State Stewart Sustainability Funds across all sectors in emerging and developed markets.
