Jupiter’s James Clunie attends Stockholm Forum
James Clunie, head of Strategy, Absolute Return and fund manager of the Jupiter Global Absolute Return fund, is set to speak at the Stockholm Forum 2017, taking place at The Grand Hotel on 28 November, on the topic of global long/short investments.
As investors increasingly seek uncorrelated returns, regardless of market environment, Clunie will explain how he uses techniques such as single stock short selling to manage the Jupiter Global Absolute Return fund, and how he relies on fundamental, bottom-up research to find attractive risk adjusted returns.
Clunie joined Jupiter in 2013 after working at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership as investment director of equities and managing both long/short equity and UK long only portfolios. He was a senior lecturer in finance at the University of Edinburgh in 2003-7. Before that he was head of Global Equities at Aberdeen Asset Management and director and head of Asset Allocation at Murray Johnstone International. He has a PhD from Edinburgh University and is a CFA charterholder.
