Martin Currie’s Michael Browne to take part in Pan-Nordic Summit

Michael Browne, investment director, European long/short at Legg Mason Global Asset Management, is set to discuss the opportunities he sees in the European long/short equities space when he takes part in the InvestmentEurope Pan-Nordic Fund Selector Summit on 10-11 March in Stockholm.

Browne joined Martin Currie, now an independent investment affiliate of Legg Mason, in 2010, and co-manages the European equity long short strategy.

He joined Martin Currie from Sofaer Capital, where he managed the European Hedge Fund with Steve Frost since 2001. Previously, he was the lead manager of Chase Asset Management’s European Equity Hedge Fund. At Chase, he also managed European portfolios for a number of long-only funds. Frost began his career in BZW Investment Management, where he was responsible for a variety of unit trusts and segregated funds .
