Liontrust to discuss Euro L/S at Hamburg Summit
James Inglis-Jones, fund manager at Liontrust Asset Management will discuss Long/Short strategies for European equities at the InvestmentEurope Pan European Fund Selector Summit held in Hamburg on 28-30 September.
He manages the Liontrust GF European Strategic Equity Fund alongside co-fund manager Samantha Gleave. The fund’s strategy focusses on company cash flows and aims to protect investors against downside risks.
Inglis-Jones will discuss discuss how their investment process, the Cashflow Solution, can provide low correlation with other asset classes and funds as well as the potential for better returns than the market in the long term while taking less risk. He will also argue that the fund is currently positioned for volatile falling markets.
He began his career in 1997 when he joined Fleming Investment Management as an analyst before going on to manage UK equity portfolios. He then worked on JP Morgan Fleming’s institutional investment process before becoming a senior portfolio manager. In 2003 he joined Polar Capital where he managed a European market neutral fund before joining Liontrust in 2006 to develop a European investment process.
