Javier Santiso has opened the second day of the Funds Society Fund Selector Summit 2015 in association with Open Door Media Publishing.

Taking place at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Key Biscayne, a few miles from downtown Miami, the event has brought together leading fund selectors serving the US offshore market.

Santiso is professor and vice president of the Centre for Global Economy & Geopolitics at ESADE. He outlined the idea of “Emerging Markets 3.0”, which covered changes being brought about by the digitalisation of the global economy in turn leading to faster paced innovation deriving from emerging markets and a much speeded up transfer of global wealth to emerging from developed markets.

Meanwhile, highlights from the first day of the conference, visible in the gallery above, include speakers from five asset management groups – Goldman Sachs AM, NN Investment Partners, Matthews Asia, Amundi, and M&G. A reception and dinner also took place.
