Nomura’s Richard Hodges to take part in Stockholm Summit
Richard Hodges, portfolio manager at Nomura Asset Management, will be discussing unconstrained fixed income management at the upcoming InvestmentEurope Pan-Nordic Fund Selector Summit, taking place in Stockholm 10-11 March.
Among the chief benefits of using an unconstrained approach is the ability to adjust for changes in market conditions, such as those following a rise in interest rates – a risk that seems more likely on 2015 than in 2014 for regions such as North America.
Richard Hodges joined Nomura AM in November 2014 to launch the Global Dynamic Bond Strategy. Previously, he was head of High Alpha Fixed Income at Legal & General Investment Management managing the unconstrained Dynamic Bond Trust fund.
Before LGIM, Hodges spent 18 years at Gartmore Investment Management, where he was head of Pan European Portfolio Construction, with responsibility for the Gartmore Sicav European Corporate Bond Fund and European Bond Fund. Hodges began his career in 1986 at Chase Manhattan Bank in fixed income operations.
