Nordea’s Stefan Vakker to speak at London Roundtable

Stefan Vakker, senior product manager, Multi Assets Team at Nordea Asset Management, will discuss long/short equity at the upcoming London Roundtable on 4 February at the South Place Hotel.

This type of approach is pursued by Nordea through its Nordea 1 – Stable Equity Long/Short fund, which looks to find low risk stocks exhibiting neutral or negative beta, which can perform positively in falling markets. The short side of the portfolio is represented by a basket of futures.

Currently holding some €800m in AUM, the strategy is positioned as an alterantive to assets such as government bonds.

Vakker joined Nordea Investment Management AB in early 2009 and is currently senior product manager within the Multi Assets Team. He previously worked as a derivatives and structured products sales person in London with a number of leading investment banks from 2001 until 2008. He holds an MSc in Finance from the London School of Economics and an MBA from University of Chicago (Graduate School of Business).
