Oliver Bell of T. Rowe Price to attend Oslo Roundtable

Oliver Bell, portfolio manager, Frontier Markets Equity Fund at T. Rowe Price will be speaking at the upcoming Oslo Roundtable 2017, taking place 8 June, at the Hotel Continental.

Bell will focus on what he sees as improving fundamentals in frontier markets, which have lagged, relatively speaking, the rally seen in emerging markets over the past year. However, Bell argues that frontier markets are enjoying long term structural improvements, resulting from factors such as an improving macro environment, which mean that related assets offer diversification, good value and strong earnings growth.

Bell will explain T. Rowe Price’s approach to this sector and his own experience investing there, as well as provide an outlook on frontier market countries going through political and economic transformation, and how he seeks out bottom-up investment opportunities. A frequent traveller to these countries, Bell will also provide updates from his latest visits.

Bell is the lead portfolio manager and chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee for the T. Rowe Price Middle East & Africa Equity strategy and the Frontier Markets Equity strategy. He is a member of the International Equity Steering Committee. He has 18 years of investment experience. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price in 2011, he was head of emerging markets equities research at Pictet Asset Management, where he managed several funds and a team of analysts.
