OMGI’s Wells to discuss diversified alpha at Hamburg Summit

Justin Wells (pictured), investment director Global Equities at Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) will discuss diversified alpha at the InvestmentEurope Paneuropean Fund Selector Summit held in Hamburg on 7-9 October.

Wells will discuss how holding a combination of several types of stocks in the portfolio at any one time allows fund managers to develop a strategy of outperformance which OMGI describes as diversified alpha.

Justin Wells manages both Global and Regional Equity long only funds, as well as a Global Equity Market Neutral strategy.   As a member of the Portfolio Management team, Wells helps evaluate the impact of macro-economic themes across the broader market environment, and participates in discussions around investment process and strategy.

Prior to joining OMGI, he worked as a strategist for the Emerging Market Equities team within UBS Global Asset Management, Zurich.  Wells was formerly based in Asia as an Investment Advisor to the then CIO of Shinsei Bank, Tokyo, focusing on emerging market investment opportunities throughout Asia and EMEA.
