RWC to tackle income and downside protection at Nordic event

RWC portfolio managers Ian Lance and John Teahan are set to join the Pan-Nordic Fund Selector Summit taking place in Stockholm 10-11 March 2015, where they will discuss the possibility of investors loosing faith in monetary policy makers, thus leading to a collapse in investor sentiment toward risk assets and a return to safe haven assets as seen during the financial crisis of 2008.

With higher expectations of market instability going forward, Lance and Teahan will outline their views on how to seek out yield while at the same time ensuring an element of downside protection.

Ian Lance (pictured above right) joined RWC from Schroders in 2010, where he previously ran the Income Maximiser fund with Nick Purves. He has also been head of European Equities and director of Research at Citigroup Asset Management, and head of Global Research at Gartmore.

At RWC, Lance helped launch the Equity Income Team.

John Teahan (pictured below) also joined RWC in 2010 from Schroders, having been co-manager on the same fund with Ian Lance and Nick Purves. Previously, he worked as a performance and risk analyst at Bank of Ireland Asset Management.
