SLI’s Alistair Way covers EM equity at Lausanne Summit
Alistair Way, senior portfolio manager, Global Emerging Markets at Standard Life Investments, will share his views on this investment area when he takes part in the InvestmentEurope Pan-European Fund Selector Summit, upcoming in Lausanne 28-30 April.
Way will reference real stock examples to illustrate how investors can utilise an unconstrained, bottom up approach to stockpicking, and through that access risk controlled alpha.
Way has some two decades of investment experience, and is currently senior portfolio manager in Standard Life Investments’ Global Emerging Markets team.
He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Economics, and started his investment career in 1993 at Baillie Gifford, initially managing the European smaller companies funds before moving to Japanese equities and Japanese smaller companies. He joined Standard Life Investments in May 2007, focusing initially on Japanese equities before extending coverage to Asia and Global Emerging Markets
