Stewart Investors to join Hamburg Summit
Rob Harley (pictured above) and Chris McGoldrick, both senior investment analyst at Stewart Investors will discuss sustainable investing at the upcoming Autumn Pan-European Summit Hamburg 2018, taking place 17-19 October at the Hotel Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall.
The Sustainable Funds Group at Stewart Investors focus on long-term sustainable development as a key driver of investment performance. By analysing the sustainable development performance and positioning of companies, the team can better measure less tangible elements of quality and identify less obvious risks. The presentation will provide examples of the kind of companies they invest in and show how the approach translates into long-term performance.
Harley joined the team in October 2015 and is responsible for generating investment ideas for the Stewart Investors Sustainable Funds Group across all sectors in emerging and developed markets. Prior to this, he worked in various investment management roles for ten years and in the not-for-profit sustainable development sector for eight years.
McGoldrick has been covering Asian companies for over 19 years as an analyst, portfolio manager and Asian research sales specialist. He joined the industry in 1997 as an analyst with Edinburgh Fund Managers and was responsible for managing segregated Asia Pacific mandates as well as analysing companies for the Edinburgh Dragon Investment Trust. He then joined Baillie Gifford where he had analysis and stock selection responsibilities. Latterly, he worked for a London-based investment bank where he was a research sales specialist for Asian equities.
