Tokio Marine AM to join Hamburg Summit
Oleg Kapinos, product specialist, Tokio Marine Asset Management is set to discuss ‘Japan: The Breakout’ at the upcoming Autumn Pan-European Summit Hamburg 2018, taking place 17-19 October at the Hotel Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall.
The constructive Japanese markets of the past year in the context of current policies as well as secular transformation beyond the two ‘lost’ decades will be discussed. What has or has not changed? Are the changes cyclical or structural? The potential merits of a full or overweight allocation in Japan in combination with the shifting fundamentals of a country in socio-economic transition will be examined. While prevailing flows are observed to be decidedly top-down, idiosyncratic returns may present specific opportunities and we will anecdotally discuss the merits of a stable growth-oriented active portfolio that is our hallmark strategy.
Kapinos joined TMAM London in February 2017 as product specialist. His role involves building relationships with UK/European investors and supporting the growth of TMAM London’s business. Prior to that, he spent over 10 years in a variety of roles in Tokyo, including investment banking, fund selection and due diligence, and most recently as a product specialist for Liquid Alternatives at Neuberger Berman.
