Kasper Elmgreen is set to head Danish asset manager BankInvest's 17-strong team of equity portfolio managers following an 18-month stint as deputy head of Equities.
During the period as deputy, Elmgreen (pictured) helped launch BankInvest's High Dividend fund. The manager's Global Consumer Equity fund also won a 'best mutual fund' award against 200 other products in the Danish market. The award was given jointly by Danish newspaper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten and rating agency Dansk Aktie Analyse.
Elmgreen joined BankInvest in 2003. The independent manager was formed in 1969 by a number of small and medium-sized Danish banks. Today it is owned by some 40 Danish local and regional banks. Specialised in active management, it has some €11bn under management.
