January figures show that the value of assets under management in funds represented by the Norwegian Fund and Asset Management Association moved above the NOK500bn level for the first time since July 2011.
Retail investors saved a net NOK0.5bn in equity funds during the first month of 2012.
Institutional and foreign investors put a net NOK0.3bn into equity funds.
The total net investment for all funds was NOK5.7bn, although a significant proportion of this was reinvestment of payments received from fixed income funds at the year end.
