Barclays Wealth has launched its Wealth Advisory service for clients in Monaco. Simon Morris has been appointed to lead the service.
This important step for Barclays Wealth Advisory means that its Wealth Advisors can meet clients at the Barclays office in Monaco and will support the increased focus on high - and ultra high net worth clients by Barclays Bank in Monaco.
Simon Morris has been with Barclays Wealth Advisory for seven years and will be working alongside the existing team of private bankers based in Monaco, drawing on the strength of the Barclays Group to provide top class solutions for clients, often working in partnership with a client’s own legal and tax advisors.
Simon joined Barclays in Geneva in 2005 and has been based in Jersey since 2009. Previously, he held positions with Close Brothers, SG Hambros and the Royal Bank of Canada.
Rob Withecombe, head of Wealth Advisory, said: “Barclays Wealth Advisory leads with advice on complex wealth management needs such as estate planning and asset protection, drawing on our expertise to bring the global capability of Barclays to bear for entrepreneurs, their businesses, successful private individuals and their families, wherever they are in the world.
“Monaco is an important location for Wealth Advisory and we are excited about the opportunity to bring the full range of Wealth Advisory solutions to local clients.”
