Allfunds appoints Morningstar analyst to broaden UK operations
Allfunds Bank has hired Chetan Modi from Morningstar to become senior fund analyst, assisting the broadening of Allfund’s UK operations in response to market developments such as RDR.
Modi has been at Morningstar OBSR since 2006, where he covered US, UK and global emerging markets equity funds. He also worked in a consulting role adviseing clients on model portfolios.
At Allfunds he will join Mark Hinton, Anais Gfeller, and Will Jackson – all recruited over the past 24 months – and Manuel Yutaro Rubio, who has transferred from Allfunds’ Madrid office. The overall Investment Research Team is now 14 strong, with five researchers in London and nine in Madrid.
Allfunds’ UK operations are lead by Stephen Mohan, who was recruited from Cofunds, and who is now focused on building a global research capability as part of the funds administrative offering to Allfunds’ clients worldwide.
Stephen Mohan said: “Funds research is playing an increasingly important role in our offer in the UK particularly given the increasing desire by wealth managers to seek out the best funds for their clients. I’m therefore delighted that we have been able to bring in Chetan to join our investment research team in London, to provide what we believe is market leading capability to our wealth management clients.”
In the UK, Allfunds Bank administers over £11bn of assets across 20 UK clients.
