Alternative Ucits Barometer survey finds confidence drops
The latest quarterly Barometer of alternative Ucits trends published by ML Capital shows that investors are reluctant to make strong bets in the current environment.
The Barometer found that there has been a reduction in demand for long-short equity strategies; that there is rising demand for global macro, fixed income and equity market neutral strategies; and that relative value is “one of the biggest winners this quarter”.
Geographically, there has been a fall in confidence in previously higher rated US and global equity sectors, but demand for Asian and European strategies remains relatively strong.
