Ashburton appoints new international equity lead manager

Ashburton has appointed Veronika Pechlaner as lead manager of its international equity funds.

Pechlaner, who joined Ashburton’s European Equity team in 2008, will lead the Jersey-based investment firm’s global equity capability. She will be joined by Nick Lee, director of Investment and Fund Management, in managing the International Equity Funds, the newly rebranded Ashburton Maestro Core Equity Fund, and the Global Equity Portfolio product.

Pechlaner takes over from Jonathan Schiessl, head of Ashburton’s equities team, who will now focus wholly on the firm’s Asian funds.

Peter Bourne, managing director of Ashburton said: “Ashburton has always had a strong regional fund tradition, as building blocks within our multi-asset funds and as standalone funds; Veronika will play an important role in building global equity as a key area of opportunity for the business.”
