He will be based in AXA IM’s Hong Kong office, reporting to Franz Wenzel, chief strategist based in Paris.
Qi will be responsible for economic research and market analysis in the emerging Asia region. His role will involve conveying global analysis to Asian based clients in collaboration with the research and investment strategy team.
Eric Chaney, head of research at AXA IM and chief economist of the AXA Group, who leads this team, said: “Qi Sun’s appointment demonstrates AXA IM’s ambition in Asia and expands on our knowledge in the region.”
His team consists of 12 economists and strategists based in Paris, London and Hong Kong. It provides independent research on global macroeconomic environmental and financial market developments.
