Cheviot opens new office in Liverpool
Cheviot Asset Management, the private UK wealth management company, has opened an office in Liverpool, its first outside London.
The company provides investment management advice to high net worth private clients, charities and trusts. It currently manages assets worth more than £3.5bn from clients with at least £250,000 in investable assets.
Chief executive Michael Kerr-Dineen said the firm chose Liverpool because of the city’s importance as an asset management centre.
“Liverpool has undergone a remarkable renaissance in the last five years. Its national and international image has improved immeasurably and we’re looking forward to playing our part in helping that reputation improve even further. Our growth plans for Liverpool are very ambitious,” he said.
Cheviot was launched in May 2006, following the recruitment of 92 investment professionals and support staff from UBS. Kerr-Dineen, was a former chief executive of UBS Laing & Cruickshank.
