Deutsche hires from HSBC for wealth management team
Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management has hired Suzanne Spink from HSBC Private Bank as its head of global investment solutions in the UK.
At HSBC Spink was head of the investment advisory group. She also worked covering actively trading clients at JP Morgan Private Bank in New York, then for the company in London, to create and manage a similar role for European markets.
Kevin Lecocq, DB PWM’s head of global investment solutions to whom Spink will report, said: “As we look to broaden and develop our investment offering, Suzanne’s extensive knowledge of the financial markets will be invaluable.”
Spink will also report to Tom Slocock, chief executive of Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management UK.
She will be responsible for organising and managing investment products and processes at the unit.
Deutsche’s offering to wealthy individuals operates in over 100 locations and advises clients on about €275bn in assets.
It provides clients access to regulated products from prominent hedge fund managers including John Paulson, David Harding and Barton Biggs, among 20 Ucits absolute return vehicles on a bank platform.
The unit has a fund of Ucits funds and a fund of managed accounts, and is establishing a multi-manager portfolio focused on emerging managers active in developing markets.
It also provides regular educational material on timely themes, most recently how to access emerging markets in an appropriate way.
