Dominion launches Global Trends Strategic fund
Dominion fund management has launched Dominion Global Trends Strategic fund which will be managed by Arjen Los, chief investment officer.
Global Trends will concentrate on growth regardless of sector, geography or industry. By looking at demographics, urbanisation and global economics, the manager will invest in a portfolio of securities across 10 defined themes, with a view to providing capital growth over the medium to long term, whilst actively managing the volatility within the fund.
The 10 sectors are: agriculture; consumer discretionary spending; consumer staples; energy; finance & commerce; health infrastructure & logistics; metals & mining; technology; telecoms and water.
The fund will invest in stocks, ETFs and other collective vehicles which are best able to take advantage of and profit from Global Trends.
“The dynamic rise of eastern economies is an established fact, and a two speed global economy of slow growth in the developed countries and faster growth in rapidly developing economies is now the ‘new normal’. These global shifts have created some exciting worldwide investment opportunities,” Los commented.
He added that there are other non-consumer trends which present similarly excellent prospects, and Strategic has been designed to capitalise on these.
