Eaton Vance appoints Gaffney VP and fixed income director
US-based manager Eaton Vance Management has appointed Kathleen Gaffney as vice president and co-director of investment grade fixed income.
In her new role she will work alongside Thomas Luster as co-leader of the investment grade fixed income team, reporting to Payson Swaffield, chief income investment officer.
Gaffney moves to Eaton Vance from Loomis, Sayles & Company, where she was a vice president and portfolio manager for the fixed income group.

The income portfolio strategies at Eaton Vance, for which Gaffney will be responsible, make up $81bn in assets under management.
They span a wide universe of fixed income products, such as investment grade and high-yield corporate bonds, preferred stocks, US government obligations, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, floating-rate bank loans, global sovereign credit and currency investments.
Eaton Vance Corp has a total of $198.2bn under management across asset classes. It serves both retail and institutional investors, offering investment strategies and wealth management solutions.
