Franklin Templeton hires Toby Hayes for multi-asset role

Franklin Templeton has announced Toby Hayes as vice president and portfolio manager for its Franklin Templeton Multi-Asset Strategies (FTMAS) group.

Hayes will be responsible for the management and the further development of Franklin Templeton’s UK multi-asset group. The group is currently managing £19bn (€22bn as of June 2013).

Before joining Franklin Templeton, Hayes was a multi-asset portfolio manager for Pacific Real Estate Capital Partners developing alternative strategies for real asset classes.

In other roles, Hayes founded Armstrong a multi-asset boutique where he managed a multi-asset portfolio, and managed portfolios for Insight’s Diversified Target Return Fund and for UBS Wealth Management. Hayes will officially join Franklin Templeton on 2 September.
