Hermes Real Estate appoints new manager

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited (HREIML)has announced the appointment of Marcus Palmer as head of real estate debt.

Based at the company’s headquarters in London, Marcus will report into Ben Sanderson, director of international investment, HREIML. Marcus will be responsible for managing the real estate debt programme.

Prior to joining HREIML, Marcus was a partner at Chalkhill Partners LLP, where he was responsible for the build out and development of the firm’s real estate platform, focusing on UK and Northern European real estate borrower clients.

Marcus has previously held senior management roles with Anglo Irish Bank – NAMA, RBS and Barclays Capital.
