JOHIM fills new charities team position
J O Hambro Investment Management (JOHIM) has appointed Francesca McSloy to a newly created dedicated marketing role in its charity team, which currently manages portfolios for 95 charities.
McSloy, who joins JOHIM from the the economics and strategy desk of a London stockbroker firm, said: “It’s an interesting time to be joining JOHIM’s Charities Team, with many charities increasingly concerned about the best way to generate income while preserving capital.
Considering the challenging environment we believe that it will be more important than ever to help trustees explore the various options open to them, and to that end we will be increasing the number of seminars and events that we organise, as well increasing our presence at charity conferences.”
Head of the team, James Pike says: “We welcome Francesca to the team and look forward to working with her to continue to develop our charities business. While this is an area we know well and have served for over 20 years, increasing interest from charities has allowed us to make this addition to our team.”
