JP Morgan AM appoints EMEA head of Fixed Income Strategies
JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Maria Ryan as its EMEA head of Fixed Income Stratgegies at its Global Fixed Income business.
The manager’s global fixed income platform handles some $370bn of assets under management for retail and institutional clients. Recently there have been significant net flows to unconstrained fixed income strategies, as well as to multi-credit strategies, the manager said.
Ryan will manage a team of client portfolio managers servicing fixed income relationships across the region. She has some two decades of experience in the asset class. Previously, Ryan was at Wellington Management as associated director of fixed income and relationship manager in Wellington’s Global Relationship Group before joining JP Morgan AM in 2013 as a client adviser with the UK Institutional team.
She has also worked with the fixed income teams at BlackRock and Henderson Global Investors.
Ryan’s appointment follows that of Zsolt Papp, who recently was appointed Global head of Emerging Markets Debt Client Portfolio Strategies at JP Morgan AM. He is moving over from Union Bancaire Privee, where was senior Product Specialist for emerging market debt, based in Zurich. Papp will report to Ryan in his new role.
