Jupiter appoints head of Private Clients and Charities from Schroders.
Andrew Clark joins Jupiter Asset Management from Schroders, where he was head of Business Development for the private banking division since April 2010. He starts in December.
Prior to this role, Clark worked for 15 years in the private client division at Merrill Lynch (formerly Blackrock and Mercury Asset Management), culminating in his appointment as managing director, head of discretionary, EMEA at Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management.
Jupiter said Clark will seek to build on the strong growth already achieved by Jupiter’s private client division. The 24-strong private client team has doubled assets under management to some £1.8bn during the past four years by delivering strong performance and high service standards.
Maarten Slendebroek, Distribution & Strategy Director at Jupiter, said: “The wealth management sector is benefiting from long term structural growth and Jupiter has already made significant strides to increase its share of the market.”
Clark said: “Jupiter clearly has the investment culture, the specialist resources and the necessary commitment to deliver excellence in portfolio management and client service to private clients and charities. I am very much looking forward to helping the team build on the momentum already established and achieve their future goals.”
