Legal & General appoints Tomlinson to board
Lindsay Tomlinson, an investment industry veteran, has joined the board of Legal & General Investment Management as a Non-Executive Director in London.
Tomlinson retired last year after seeing through the integration process of Barclays Global Investors (BGI) with BlackRock, when the two merged in 2009. He joined BGI in 1987, becoming UK CEO in 1994 and Pan European CEO in 1996, and eventually Vice-Chairman. Tomlinson first joined the industry in 1981 with Provident Mutual.
Tomlinson was previously the Chairman of the UK’s National Association of Pension Funds, a position he held from 2009 to 2011. He has been a Director of the Financial Reporting Council and is Chairman of the Code Committee of the Takeover Panel.
