Lyxor appoints head of US business development
Paris-based Lyxor Asset Management has appointed Michael Bernstein to spearhead its campaign to build its North American division.
The North American market is a key area of development for Lyxor, and the firm has strong ambitions for continued growth in the region, Lyxor said.
“In recent years, Lyxor has seen major breakthroughs with some of the region’s largest pensions, endowments, consultants and wealth management firms. These partnerships demonstrate the strong alignment between Lyxor’s expertise and the investment challenges faced by North American investors,” Lyxor said.
His main responsibility will be to develop relationships with institutional investors, consultants, distribution partners and other asset managers.
Lyxor’s strategy for the region involves a range of offerings, including managed account, advisory, fund of fund, index and quantitative solutions.
Bernstein joined Lyxor in 2009 and was most recently head of US Pensions and Consultants.
Previously, he was the head of North American marketing for FRM Americas, where he served as lead relationship manager. He marketed hedge fund strategies to the firm’s North American clients, which included several of the top pensions and endowments in the US and Canada.
Earlier in his career, Bernstein was a management consultant for financial industry clients including Barclays Global Investors, JP Morgan and MasterCard.
