More than a third of investors see asset growth as a priority – Natixis
67% of HNWI globally said that asset growth was increasingly a priority over protecting their principal, a survey from Netixis Global Asset Management revealed.
The survey, which questioned 5,650 active investors across 14 countries globally, showed that investors were comfortable in investing in products that they understood.
The survey also revealed that investors claimed to be interested in products that were unrelated to the performance of broader markets (77%).
When asked if they were willing to invest in alternative investments, 51% of investors globally said they were willing to; however only 29% of ivnestors are currently doing so.
The main reason for the lack of alternative investments seemed to stem from a low level of knowledge or understanding of alternatives. The majority of investors siad they were advised towards alternative investments by their financial advisers (70%), with a particular high rate in the Middle East (87%).
