MSCI expands ESG coverage to fixed income
MSCI ESG Resarch has expanded its coverage to include fixed income.
The analysis covers corporate and sovereign debt, supranationals, agencies, and covered bonds. The full coverage include more than 9,000 issuers and 260,000 individual securities, which MSCI said represents more than 90% of the market value fo the Barclays Global Aggregate Bond index.
Users of the new service can access ratings, scores, profiles and reports, available through monthly data feeds and BarraOne.
Remy Briand, managing director and global head of Index and ESG Research at MSCI, said: “Fixed income is a major part of investors’ holdings across the world and there is a growing demand for tools that will enable asset owners and asset managers to integrate ESG across asset classes.”
