New Alpha AM recruits Vauthier as COO
NewAlpha Asset Management, part of the OFI Groupe, has hired Nicholas Vauthier as chief operating officer.
Vauthier will supervise operations, IT and risk management for the seeding firm. He has considerable experience as a consultant, actuary and risk manager, including some years with arbitrage strategies at Crédit Agricole Asset Management.
In 2003, he co-founded AQTIS, a firm focused on absolute return strategies, which was integrated into OFI in 2007. Vauthier then took on responsibility for risk management for the institutional client portfolios. He is a member of l’Institut des Actuaires Français, and has a diploma from the CFAInstitute.
Since its launch in 2003, New Alpha Asset Management has concluded 19 seeding partnerships involving a total sum invested globally of some $750m. There are nine managers currently seeded by NewAlpha Asset management, with a total of some $3bn assets under management.
