Newedge hires for its Alternative Investment Solutions business
The global multi-asset broker Newedge has boosted its Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS) group, a part of the firm’s Prime Clearing Services.
Leslie Richman, based in Chicago, and Duncan Crawford, based in London, have been appointed co-global head Alternative Investment Solutions.
Richman has been successfully leading Alternative Investment Solutions in the US for nearly two decades. Crawford has run Capital Introductions globally for the past 12 years. Previously, he held various senior management and trading roles with Newedge and its predecessor firms since 1991.
AIS offers international expertise in listed derivatives, securities and liquid OTC, centralized clearing, reporting and market access for hedge funds, commodity trading advisors, funds of hedge funds, family offices and investors focusing on alternative investments.
Newedge has also appointed Keith Johnson global head of Capital Introductions, based in Chicago. Prior to this appointment, he was head of Capital Introductions Americas.
James Skeggs and Ryan Duncan will co-run the Advisory Group globally, providing analysis on hedge fund strategies including managed futures, global macro, commodity, currency, and volatility trading. Based in London, Skeggs was previously head of Research EMEA, while Duncan, based in Chicago, was head of Research, Americas. He also manages the Newedge Index committee.
Richman and Crawford report to Chris Topple, global head of Prime Clearing Services. Johnson, Skeggs and Duncan report to Richman and Crawford.
Newedge is a 50/50 joint venture between Société Générale and Crédit Agricole CIB, with a presence in more than 20 locations in 16 countries.
