Newton appoints new head of global consultant relations

The global asset management subsidiary Newton, which is part of BNY Mellon, has appointed Julian Lyne as head of global consultant relations as of July 2014.

Based in London, Lyne will be in charge of Newton’s institutional consultant relations effort across EMEA, North America and Asia-Pacific.

He joins Newton from F&C Investments, where he was head of global consultant and UK institutional business and responsible for managing their UK institutional proposition and global consultant initiative.

Colin Cowie, Newton’s commercial director comments:
“Julian joins us with over 20 years of extensive investment management experience, specifically in the institutional marketplace.

He brings with him the skills needed to lead the global consultant interactions across our global network and enhance our current proposition, ensuring timely, consistent and cohesive communication with consultant” Cowie adds.
