Nikko AM appoints executive vice chairman
Hideo Abe has been appointed executive vice chairman of Nikko Asset Management, tasked with boosting the reach of the manager among institutional and retail investors both in Japan and other markets.
Abe, who has been in the financial services industry for 36 years will be based at Nikko’s Tokyo headquarters.
Abe will take up his role on 1 October. Until recently he was an adviser at Mizuho Securities, where he served as deputy president between 2008 to 2013. He first entered the industry in 1977, when he joined Nikko Securities.
