Nikko AM appoints three to senior exec roles
Takuya Koyama, Hideyuki Omokawa and Motonobu Hasegawa have respectively been appointed global head of Sales, head of Strategic Product Innovation and global head of RFP at Tokyo based Nikko Asset Management.
Koyama, who comes from previous roles at Merrill Lynch and Citicorp Securities Japan, will be responsible for global institutional and international retail sales.
Omokawa will oversee the development of products on a global basis. Previously at FGI Capital Partners, Goldman Sachs Japan and Nikko Cordial Securities, Omokawa will manage interaction between sales and investment through the office of the CIO.
Hasegawapreviously led the RFP team at UBS Global Asset Management Japan, and has worked at Aberdeen, Credit Suisse AM and Pictet AM Japan.
Additionalyl, Yu-Ming Wang, who oversees investment teams outside Japan, has been appointed global head of Investment, responsible for staff based in nine countries. Investment management in the Tokyo office will remain the responsibility of Japan CIO Hiroki Tsujimura.
