Nikko hire looks to boost European sales

Tokyo-based Nikko Asset Management is looking to sell to more European investors with its most recent hire.

Violet Pacileo became assistant director of Product Management at the Asian investment manager on 1 March 2011.

From her base in London, she is representing Nikko’s Asia-based portfolio management teams in Europe.

Her role includes informing and selling to investors the firm’s investment products, which are Asian and Japanese equities, on the strategies it uses, processes and performance.

Pacileo reports to Nikko AM’s Europe Director, Business Development, Lora-Ann Chiginsky and Kay Akast, Head of Marketing and Client Services.

Previously, she worked at Aberdeen Asset Management, as part of its global marketing and business management team for Benelux. She began with Aberdeen in 2008, based in Tokyo, when she was taken on as Assistant Portfolio Manager on the Japan Investment Desk.

Beforehand, she was at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities and Nomura Securities.
