New advisory board members at Glendevon King AM

Glendevon King Asset Management, the independent fixed income boutique, has appointed Andrew Grant and Jeremy Soames to its advisory board to provide strategic input and advice for the company.

Grant founded Tulchan Communications in May 2000. Prior to that, he was a partner at Brunswick Group.

Soames has more than thirty years’ experience in financial markets, with an emphasis in international fund and wealth management. For more than 20 years, he was with the N M Rothschild group, working in operations in London, New York and Hong Kong. He is currently chairman of Barbican Managing, a non-executive director of Instinet Europe and an independent director at Dundee Capital Markets.

Gregory McGreevey joins Invesco as head of fixed income

Invesco has appointed Gregory McGreevey as head of fixed income to start on November 28, 2011.  He will be responsible for the day-to-day business oversight of the company’s fixed income business, reporting to Karen Dunn Kelley, senior managing director.

McGreevey has 25 years’ investment and experience in the industry.

The fixed income portfolio teams, with more than 150 investment professionals across the globe, manages more than $200bn in assets.

McGreevey most recently was president of Hartford Investment Management company and executive vice-president and chief investment officer of The Hartford Financial Services group.  Prior to joining Hartford Investment Management, he was vice chairman and executive vice president of ING Investment Management – Americas region, and was also business head and CIO for ING’s North American proprietary investments and CEO of ING Institutional Markets. 

Before joining ING, McGreevey was president and CIO of Laughlin Asset Management and president and chief operating officer of both Laughlin Educational Services and Laughlin Analytics in Portland, Oregon.

Vestra Wealth strengthens Jersey team

Vestra Wealth, the independent wealth management company, has strengthened its Jersey team with the appointment of three new portfolio managers: Neville Falla, Trevor Daghorn and Suzi Humphrey.

Falla and Daghorn join from Standard Bank Jersey where they provided bespoke portfolio management and stockbroker services. Humphrey joins from Allied Irish Bank bringing with her an in-depth knowledge of international banking and investment management with a particular focus on high net worth clients.

Vestra was established in 2008 and opened a Jersey office in November 2010 for international and non-domiciled high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. It currently has more than £2.4bn in assets under management.
