Pioneer Investments hires five analysts to support EM growth
Pioneer Investments has grown its London based Emerging Markets hub with five new investment professionals hires.
The new hires comprise Sebastian Barry Taylor, consumer analyst and team leader; Ji Young Park, consumer analyst; Richard Clode, technical analyst global emerging markets and Caroline Galligan, financial analyst, all reporting to Marco Mencini, head of equity and emerging market research; and Oleksiy Soroka, Senior Credit Analyst reporting to Garrett Walsh, head of credit research Europe & Asia.
Mauro Ratto, head of Emerging Markets said: “Creating a centre of excellence for Emerging Markets is a very important initiative of our new growth plan. As part of this we have been working towards building a solid investment expertise, these new hires will further improve and support idea generation within the portfolio management team.”

Taylor joins from a position as GEM senior consumer analyst at Henderson Global Investor. Ji Young Park joins from M&G Investments where he was an equity sector specialist – GEM Consumer Industries. Richard Clode was previously an analyst and portfolio manager. Caroline Galligan joins from AllianceBernstein where she was a CEEMEA financial analyst. Oleksiy Soroka joins Pioneer Investments from Credit Suisse, where he was Director, CEEMEA Corporate Credit Research.
