Revere Capital Advisors opens its Emerging Founders Fund to investors
Revere Capital Advisors, the London and New York-based boutique emerging hedge fund manager specialist, has opened its fund of early stage hedge funds, the REM Founders Fund, to institutional and other external investors.
The firm has over many years developed a process to identify hedge funds at the conception of their business, after which the Revere Research & Investment team evaluates the managers, taking them through a defined and repeatable due diligence process.
In April 2012, the REM Founders Fund was formed with a view to allocating proprietary capital to a concentrated portfolio of 10-12 high conviction managers and identified by its research process, and to establish a track record for the firm.
Opening the REM Founders Fund investors will allow new investors to access the entire Revere Emerging Managers research universe, as well as insight and advice from the team.
Revere’s Camilla Balmer said: “The early identification of these funds has allowed our team to build a lower cost portfolio by taking advantage of discounted fees offered to early investors. We are pleased to be able to share news about the REM Founders Fund and we hope that investors will be encouraged to learn more about it.”
Revere Capital Advisors was founded in 2008 by several former senior executives of the Man Group. To complement the Research & Investments team, REM Marketing Solutions provides a marketing and business development consultancy service for early-stage hedge funds, bespoke to their requirements.
